This work remains central to my scholarship and teaching and is illustrated in ongoing support to feminist social justice movements in Africa and feminist movement building organisations globally.

A critical journalist and researcher from Lebanon. She holds a BA in Political Studies the American University of Beirut and an MA in Crical Media and Cultural Studies from SOAS. Her career in journalism started with the BBC. She worked on stories covering political prisoners and human rights violations, sexual freedoms, and cultural and religious diversity. Her recent work focuses on studying the independent media in Lebanon and critically analyzing the role of mainstream media in covering social movements.
